The objective of the game is to survive as long as possible. Avoid obstacles and the track edge. Collect bonuses and shields. Activate bonuses by tapping anywhere on the screen or pressing trackball or trackpad. You can only use a bonus once and have one at a time. Shields are activated automatically. During each race there are also hazard zones (see below).
Speedx gives you three game modes: Stages, where you have to complete a stage to be allowed to move to the next one. Upgrades (like shield extensions or torpedoes) are unlocked when progressing through stages. A stage consists of 12 runs. Survival, where you select a difficulty level and try to survive as long as possible. Upgrades are not available in this game mode. Challenges, where you can challenge others or accept challenges from other players.
You can enhance your chances while playing the Stages and Survival (except of Extreme and Pure difficulties) mode by using upgrades. Upgrades become unlocked
after finishing certain races in Stages mode, in order to get upgrades you need Credits (Cr), which can be earned through Tapjoy offers network.
Upgrades can be either passive (always active like additional shield slot) or active (like torpedo). Active upgrades (when available) have icon displayed on HUD
and are activated by tapping on it. Paid version of Speedx do not use Credits, all
upgrades are free and available instantly after unlocking.
This is an experimental feature that displays stereoscopic 3D graphics. Due to its technical limitations,
some colours may not be displayed correctly. Prolonged viewing of stereoscopic 3D images may cause dizziness and headache.
Note that trioscopic (green-magenta) glasses offer better image quality.
